We had Turkey, Potatoes, Salade, Vegies, Wine and Desserts all ready for curtain time on the 25th but something was missing... The Gravy !!! OMG No gravy on the potatoes nor Turkey. I had not signed on for such a travesty of a holiday meal. Hence for the first time ever I tried making gravy with what was on hand. There was no scraps left from the cooking of the meal, no vegies nor juices from their cooking either. With but 10 min to go til show time things where beguining to look desperate on the "gravy front"... It was then, when we had all but given up hope that a small jar of turkey broth earlier hidden in the depths of the fridge by the cook ressurfaced as if on cue. This is what I improvised on the spot and I must say as a first time comer to the front with no experience nor references on the said matter.. That was one delicious Gravy !!
Ingredients:
Butterball Turkey Broth
3 tablespoons of Flour
A very generous tablespoon of Butter
A little Garlic from what I could only defined as pre chewed garlic in a jar ...('bout half a big clove)
Peper
A pinch of salt (yaaa cause there was t enough salt in there already... hehehe)
And a sercret ingredient that I will take to my grave. It rimes with "Shut Up Meg" and people go nuts for it when cooking for the holidays... lol
